We spent the afternoon on the four wheelers again playing in
the desert. Dona and Jeff really want to find gold, so we headed out to Barry
Goldwater and up to Fortuna Mine to do a little digging there. From the mine we
headed a little bit deeper in to the mountains so that Mike could show us a
water hole that he had found. Jeff and I
were expecting a little lake or a pond because Mike had told us that there were
fish in there. We were a little bit surprised at what was there and I had a
good laugh. It ended up being something similar to a water trough, but it
certainly did have fish in there, even if they were smaller than a minnow. We kept hunting for gold, but there was none
to be found today.
