176:365 Cuteness!!

Doesn't he look like a totally different kid? I love the new look!

175:365 Mini Golfing

This is not the best photo, but it sure is cute. Derek and I took the kids mini golfing this evening. We found out right away that we all had to stand way back from Payton. He was swinging the golf club like a baseball bat, and boy did he have fun. I just love that he is holding the club backwards. He would swing at the ball several times before he actually made contact.

174:365 Red River Zoo

Derek and I took his little munchkins to the Red River Zoo today. The sun was FINALLY shining. Yay. It really was a gorgeous day. The zoo is not very big, but was just right for the four of us. They have a few animals to feed and pet and the kids really enjoyed being there. It was a good day.

173:365 Munchkin

It rained today. All day. Again. We did go to the Children's Museum and spent a couple of hours there, but I didn't take my camera with me. Shocking, I know, but the rain just really has be bummed. We're really hoping for sunny skies tomorrow.

172:365 Birthday Cake

One of these little munchkins celebrated her 7th birthday yesterday, but I'm not telling which one. She was not feeling well yesterday, so we waited until today for her birthday cake. She picked out a birthday cookie for her little brother. They both tried eating them with no hands. They were funny!

171:365 Working Hard

Jeff has had to haul grain for the last few days. His face shows it all about how hard he was working. The first auger they had moved to this bin did not fit and they had to move that one out of the way, then bring in a smaller auger. Those things are not light!! And you notice that his wife is really not much help either. I can snap a mean photo though!! =D

170:365 Light Refraction

This is the light refracting through the soap bottle on my kitchen window sill. I love the pop of orange from the snow fence out in the yard.

169:365 No Trespassing

Nancy and I went walking around her neighborhood tonight. She lives in the Lakewood area over in Mandan. So far, she is high and dry. We tried to walk over the Expressway Bridge to get to the Bismarck side of the river, but the walking path there was closed, so we headed up to Memorial Bridge and walked across that way. The battery in my camera died right before we got to the bridge, so I didn't get very many photos, but I will go back and try again. The Corps has upped the output to 150,000 cfs as of Friday and that water is expected to hit the Bismarck/Mandan area some time on Sunday. They will stay at the the 150,000 cfs until at least mid July and possibly in to August.

168:365 Badlands, North Unit

This is a drive by of the north unit of the Badlands. If you are familiar with the area at all, you can see how wide the Little Missouri River is.

167:365 Another Go-Cart Ride

Munchkin #3 is always acting silly and making silly faces. We had another good ride on the go-cart today.

166:365 T-Ball

Munchkin #2 had a t-ball game this afternoon and I have a lot of photos of him, but this one just had to be my photo of the day. It's one of his little teammates trying to go after the ball. I love it!!

165:365 Go Cart

Jeff and I went to Cartwright for a few days to help Brandy celebrate her birthday and to play with the kids. I can't believe it, but I never took a photo of Brandy on her birthday. I have a video of us singing Happy Birthday, but no photos. What kind of photographer am I?? We spent most of the day outside, riding the go-cart, playing baseball, flying the kite, walking, bike riding and just enjoying each other.

164:365 Sunflare

Love the sun flare through the trees.

163:365 Garden

The garden is looking good so far, but it could really use some sunshine. We all can. I think that the lettuce will be ready to start harvesting by the end of the week. I can't wait to have some salad. The beets are a little thin, so I think that I may try to sneak in another row. I know that it's getting kind of late now, but I'll try anyway.

You know you're getting old when...

... your son starts playing for the "old guys" rather than the "young guys" in the softball game. =D

162:365 Wild in Wilton

This is me and my walking partner Tracy. We walked the 5k sponsored by the Wild in Wilton committee. It is actually about a mile shorter than the route that we normally walk, but we enjoyed this.

161:365 Garrison Spillway

This is the Garrison Spillway at 40,000 cfs. They are scheduled to be going to 60,000 cfs at the end of next week and the dam will be at 90,000 for a total of 150,000 cfs. History in the making.

160:365 Flood Waters

Flood waters in south Bismarck. This is the levy on Burleigh Avenue.

159:365 Dandelion

One of those pesky little buggers out in the yard. Jeff has been trying to keep them out, but this one snuck by him.

158:365 River

Jeff and I drove home on River Road tonight to see what was going on with the river. This is the sky from Double Ditch right before it started raining.

157:365 Tree

This is the tree in our front yard. I missed it while it was in full bloom because I had wanted to get it at sunset, but it's been cloudy every night that I've been home. I really like this photo though.

156:365 Crossword Puzzle

This is about all that I have accomplished today. It must be my day of rest and catch up.

155:365 Missouri River Flood 2011

This was taken at a friends house south of Washburn. We were there helping them move completely out of their house. The river will be rising up approximately three to four more feet in the coming weeks. See http://www.bismarcktribune.com/ for all of the up to date flood information.

154:365 Swinging

This little munchkin can spend HOURS in a swing. He loves to go to the park. We stopped at Julie and Al's house on our way back to Wilton to welcome Gabriel. What a precious little guy he is. Lilly is lucky to have a new little brother.

153:365 The Crew

Our last afternoon in Omaha was spent at Molly's mom and dad's house playing in the sprinklers and on the swing set. Her sister Emily was also there with her two cute little munchkins. The kids all had a blast running around and playing with each other.

152:365 Henry Doorley Zoo

It was a beautiful day in Omaha, so we took the munchkins to the zoo. This zoo is so big that we were not able to see everything, and had to save most of the exhibits for our next trip back. All of the kids really enjoyed the day.

151:365 Sprinkler fun

Look at the joy on that face. It was actually warm enough in Omaha to run through the sprinklers. Yay!!

150:365 Four Little Munchkins Sitting on the Porch

So nice to have the four munchkins all together. It doesn't happen often enough. We were packing up to leave for Omaha and I think that Payton was bummed that he wasn't going along.

149:365 Bowling

We took the munchkins bowling and they had a great time, but can you tell by the smiles on their faces that they did NOT want to stop and have their picture taken. Not a one of them. =D
