2012 222:366 Helping Daddy

Derek had some bushes along the edge of his lawn that he has been digging out. The kids are helping finish today so they can plant some new grass and have a nice looking lawn out front.

2012 221:366 Fishing at Casselton

Derek takes the kids fishing out here a lot. That's because the fish are always biting here and they have fun! Today, he had caught a small blue gill and a northern came up and ate the blue gill right off the hook. Of course, I didn't get that on camera, but it's a good story anyway.

2012 220:366 Tie Dye Results

Here's all of our finished shirts. Don't the look great?!? I love Macy's and Abby's hearts tie dyed like that.

2012 219:366 Tie Dying

The kids are in the process of tie dying some shirts for a project. We spent the afternoon at the pool, then came home and started this. They love working on projects.

2012 218:366 Cherry Berry

These kids just love Cherry Berry. We go every night for our treat when we are in Fargo. They start asking right away in the morning, "Can we go to Cherry Berry today?"

2012 217:366 Flowers

Or perhaps these are weeds? I guess that I'm really not sure, but these are in the flower bed in front of Derek's house.

2012 216:366 Uncle Dewey!

What a great guy! He is going to turn 79 next week! and he always has a smile on his face!

2012 215:366 Rain, Finally!!

We are finally getting some much needed rain here. It seems like the entire country is in a drought. You can see that the lawn is starting to die already from lack of moisture.

2012 214:366 Marbles

Playing with marbles and reflections.

2012 213:366 Flower

Flowers by Mary's house.

2012 212:366 Chalkboard

I have a chalkboard in my kitchen and have been putting some inspirational quotes on there from time to time. This is a good reminder that things aren't always as they seem.

2012 211:366 Toothless

Don't you just love the silly toothless grins when kids lose their teeth? Jeffrey is missing three teeth on the top and a couple on the bottom. I just think that he's adorable. We spent the weekend at Brandy's, then on Monday we headed out to the lake for the day. When we left, Jeff and I headed towards Minot and Brandy and the kids left for home. We were not even half way to Minot when I received a phone call from this little munchkin saying that he missed us already and he wished that we lived in Cartwright so that we would have to to home. It just melted my heart.
