365:365 Green Grass and Project Complete

Today was like a spring day. It started out with rain this morning, then the sun came out this afternoon. The temperatures were warm and it was thawing all the ice from the past couple of days. As you can see, our lawn is nearly green. And, this marks the end of my 365 project. It's been a good project for me. I think that I'll do it again for 2012, but I may add a little twist to challenge myself just a little bit more. Not exactly sure what that will be yet, but I have a few ideas. Stay tuned!!

364:365 I Don't Want To Go Home!!

After spending almost an entire week at Grandma's, Macy decided that she didn't want to go home. After getting the car loaded and her coat on, she laid on the couch and cried over and over "I don't want to go"... I guess that Grandma's house is a fun place to be. =D

363:365 Gabriel

Gabriel and Lilly came to visit this afternoon and have a photo shoot of their own. I have to say, that this is one photogenic little guy. He likes the camera.

362:365 All together

As we are all aware, Grandma Robyn likes to take pictures, and so does Brandy. The kids are all used to  (and probably tired of) having a camera in their faces, so this time around, I tried really hard to restrain myself. I did ask the kids to help me out with a photo shoot though, and we set it up for a Wednesday morning. I have to give them a lot of credit, as they were pretty cooperative, but it is still hard to get decent photos of a group and have everyone smiling and looking in the same direction. Professional photographers really do earn their pay. =D

361:365 Making Cookies

Lilly came over to visit today and all of the other kids were outside playing, so Payton and Lilly decided to help bake cookies. They were some pretty tasty cookies too.

360:365 Making Breakfast

Macy and Payton are helping Grandma make pancakes for breakfast. Macy must have said something really funny.

359:365 Christmas Day

We made a quick trip out to the farm on Christmas Day, so we could get the kids out of the house for a while and they could see the farm. We stopped on the way to see just how big those wind towers are. They are much bigger than they look from the road. This is the only photo I took with all four kids this day. And look at the serious lack of snow. Jeff and I are definitely not complaining.

358:365 Tracking Santa

Derek and the kids were tracking Santa after church tonight. I think at this point he was in South America, so they still had a little bit of time before he made it to our house. Lucky for the kids, Grandma Robyn sent Santa a letter telling him that all of the kids would be at our house this year, so he could bring their presents here.

357:365 Christmas Tree

Merry Christmas!!
And yes, it is leaning a little. =D

356:365 Breakfast Smoothie

I saw a tip on pinterest to take all of the ingredients for a smoothie and freeze them together in one bag. That way when you are in a hurry or just being a little lazy, it is easy to dump the contents of the bag into a blender and blend away. Presto! Breakfast!! (I guess that I did add a little bit of milk, so I had to take that out also.)

355:365 Ornament

We've had this ornament since the kids were very little. I just noticed that it's missing a wheel. Bummer.

354:365 Sunset in Wilton

The sky was so pretty tonight, when I got back from my walk I jumped into the car right away and drove a little way out of town to get a few photos. Love those colors.

353:365 Christmas Decoration

352:365 Ornament

Maybe later this week I'll have to take a picture of the whole tree.

349:365 Breakfast

Cook an egg inside of a pepper ring. Yummy!!

348:365 Frozen Pond

We went to Bismarck this afternoon, and I had to stop at the pond to get my photo today. As you can see it was almost dark. I was hoping that the lights would be lit on the bridge, but not to be.

347:365 Frosty Tree

I just love foggy, frosty mornings.

346:365 Christmas Frost

It's finally getting frosty around here. There are usually a few days in December that are foggy and frosty and it's so beautiful. I don't like the cold, but I sure won't complain about the frost.

345:365 Typical Christmas Picture

I wanted to get a picture of the kids before they left for home this morning, but as you can see, it's hard to get them both to cooperate at the same time. I'm trying really hard not to have the camera in their face all the time, so when I want a photo they may be a little bit more cooperative. I may also have to resort to bribery.

344:365 Pheasant Hunting

Tyler and Jeff have been out pheasant hunting and have been pretty successful.

343:365 Macy

Brandy had an appointment this morning, so Macy and I tried to find a McDonalds with a playland while we were waiting. We couldn't find one, so ended up at Gateway Mall in the play area that they have there. She had a great time running around.

342:365 Macy & Grandma

Macy is here spending a few days with Grandma and Grandpa. She has been helping decorate the tree and getting all of the decorations put up. We've sure enjoyed having her here.

341:365 Christmas Ornament

Every year I buy each of the grandkids a new ornament. I am keeping them for the time being and will give them their ornaments when they are older (maybe for a wedding gift?). This is the 2011 ornament.

340:365 Jewelry Making

Every once in a while, I get to work on some type of craft project, and this time it is jewelry making. I'm hoping to get a few projects done yet before the end of the year.

339:365 Cottonwood Star

Did you know that if you snap a branch of a cottonwood tree at a joint there would be a star? I have lived here for more than thirty years and just learned this. Someone brought some branches to our last coffee and cameras meeting and shared this. You learn something new all the time.

338:365 Hiding

Payton saw me get the camera out and went to hide behind his dad. He was peeking to see if I could see him. Sadly, it doesn't take long for the kids to start hiding from the crazy lady with the camera!

337:365 Fargodome Traffic

NDSU Bison are having a phenomenal year! This is the traffic after one of the playoff games.  It took me 25 minutes to drive 1.5 miles.  Good thing I wasn't in a hurry.

336:365 Craft Storage

This is in my craft room/office.  I need the storage but really did not like the way that it looked when you could see the mess inside each drawer.  I like this look much better, but now when I want to find something I sometimes have to open a lot of drawers.  Labels will be applied soon.

335:365 Cookies

I love the way that ginger cookies make the house smell.  I also love the cookies, but I will sometimes bake them just to enjoy the smell of the house.

334:365 Christmas Dish

333:365 New Hat

Payton is sporting a new hat these days.  He wears a puppy dog to keep his head warm.

332:365 Berries

Last of the fall berries hanging on before winter hits.

331:365 Mowing

It was a pretty nice day out, so Derek was out with the lawn mower trying to chop up all of the leaves that had fallen in the yard.  Being the helper that he is, Payton grabbed his mower and was helping daddy.
