2015.03.31 Priceless

This is the view from Suzanne's living room. She has moved to a new place and it is fantastic. It's a wonderful little community for her with all kinds of amenities.

Jeff and I were able to head over to the pickleball court right away and play a couple of games before Suzanne came home from work. I really miss playing pickleball every morning and I'm hoping that I will be able to get in quite a few games while we are on this trip.

2015.03.30 Packing

Jeff and I are leaving for a month long trip in the morning and I am trying to pack everything that I will need in as little space as possible. My good friend Dona made this suitcase for me in which I can more easily carry my camera equipment. I love it and I'm hoping that it works as well as I'm expecting that it will. It has wheels and I can just push it through the airport, rather than have to carry my heavy equipment. That should save quite a load from my back.

2015.03.29 Montana State Gymnastics Meet

Macy Lynne competed in the Montana State Gymnastics meet over the weekend. She is a Level III in gymnastics and competed in four events: balance beam, uneven bars, floor exercise and vault. I think that the expressions on her face show that the nerves were definitely there, but she did GREAT!!
We are so proud of her and the rest of the Sidney team. They ended up with 3rd place in the state!! Woot Woot!!

2015.03.28 Hike to Palisade Falls in the Gallatin National Forest

Brandy made sure to tell all of us that we would be hiking on Saturday while we were in Bozeman, so be sure to bring the appropriate clothing. Her good friend had moved to Bozeman some time last year and had a great hike planned for us. It was a beautiful morning, but the weather forecast was for rain and snow in the afternoon, so we left earlier than we had originally planned. That turned out to be a good move on our part, as it started to rain and snow and the wind was blowing by the time that we got back to our cars. It was a bit of a drive up the mountain and the road was closed about a mile before the trailhead, so we had to hike that extra mile up the snow covered road. We all had a great time and it was fun to spend time with the kids.
