I admired this boat every time that we drove by. When JoDee and I went diving, I was finally able to get a photo with a nice reflection.

2012 099:366 Remnants from Hugo

Hurricane Hugo hit this island many, many years ago, but the devastation is still very apparent. Many of the locals will never forget living through that hurricane.

2012 098:366 Christianstad Harbor

We spent many evenings on the boardwalk enjoying the sunsets. It was a great way to pass the time and enjoy a meal.

2012 097:366 Sand Castle Beach

We spent the day at Sand Castle Beach and in Fredericksted on the west side of the island. The beaches and water over there are so absolutely beautiful that it is hard to find the words to describe them.

2012 096:366 JoDee

Gina & Larry left =(, but JoDee came to visit for a few days =).  She wants to do some snorkeling and some diving while she is here, and also learn a few things about her new camera. JoDee is an experienced diver and has been many exoctic and fun places diving. Lucky for her, I kinda know what I am doing with the camera and can teach her a few things.  I'm going to take a diving lesson while she is here, so maybe we can go diving together. =D

2012 093:366 Snorkeling Cruise

We spent the day going on a snorkeling cruise over to Buck Island. It is a National Park and is protected waters. Snorkeling over here made me realize why people like to scuba dive. It is totally like another world to visit.

It is so hard to pick just one photo for the photo of the day! I decided on this one because I ALWAYS have so much fun when I am with Gina and Larry. They are always up for anything and just enjoy life! I just love them both!!


2012 091:366 Chili Cookoff

Gina, Larry, Jeff and I had a great day today. We spent part of the day at the chili cookoff at the Divi Carina hotel on the northeast side of the island. We did a little snorkeling there, then walked around and tasted all the different types of chili.  They also had live music playing. Every day is a good day when you can enjoy it on the beach with people that you love!

2012 090:366 Caterpillar

These caterpillars just fascinated me once I noticed them. There were a lot of them on the tree and they were having a feast. They were eating all of the leaves and flowers off of the tree (I wish that I knew what the name of the tree was.) I guess that they eat all they can then turn in to beautiful black and yellow butterflies. I did not see the butterflies though, I did keep looking for them.

Jeff and I spent the day driving around the island. Gina and Larry were coming in this evening and we are very excited. This photo was taken at the Divi Carina hotel beach. It's on the other side of the island.
