295:365 Fontenelle Forest

We made a quick trip to Fontenelle Forest in Omaha before heading home today.  It's a great place for a hike and just getting to spend time outdoors.  We had such a great time, it was hard to leave.

294:365 Heartwarming moment

Abby had a Girl Scout campout event on Friday night, so Macy and I tagged along for a while.  It was getting dark out so this is not the best photo, but I just love the expression and the love that shows between them.  It melts my heart.

293:365 No more pictures!!

Oh no, Grandma's got the camera again!!  HIDE!!!

292:365 Abby

We're so lucky to get the weekend to spend with Abby and Molly.  Macy, Jeff and I are in Omaha to spend a few days with Abby and Molly.

291:365 Payton

I love this kid!!

290:365 First leg of our trip

We met Brandy and Macy yesterday to have Macy come with us on our trip to Omaha.  Macy has been excited for this trip for a while.  We weren't sure that she was going to be able to make it, as she had her tonsils out last week and we weren't sure that she would feel well enough to handle the driving.  She's a determined little girl though, and we were excited to have her along.  The first stop that we made was in Fargo to visit Derek and Payton.  Payton was just as excited as Macy to have someone his own age to play with.  It was fun to watch the two of them play together.

289:365 Blue Eyes

Look at those big, beautiful blue eyes.  You would never know that his older sister has eyes that are as big, beautiful and brown as his are blue.

288:365 Fall Sunrise

Jeff called me on his way to Regan to go hunting this morning and told me that I was missing a beautiful sunrise.  I grabbed the camera and headed out the door.  It didn't last long, but I was able to capture a few shots.

287:365 River

Yay, my camera came back today all fixed up and ready to go.  By the time that I picked it up, it was getting pretty late in the day, but I stopped along the river for a couple of quick photos.  I know that it's hard to tell in this photo with nothing to compare it with, but the river is way down from where it had been all summer.

286:365 Another puzzle

I'm without my camera and the inspiration is just not there right now, so another photo of a puzzle.  Can we say bored??

285:365 Riding Lawn Mower

Anyone interested??

284:365 Pond

This pond provides many opportunites for photos.

283:365 Fall Tree

Fall is definitely in the air, and the trees are turning fast.  I love the fall colors.

282:365 What's wrong with this picture?

If you know Jeff, you know that he doesn't use the computer. Ever.  However, a friend of his had sent him some photos of their hunting trip.  These photos were on a jump drive, so the only way that Jeff could view them was on the computer.  I had to show him which buttons to push, but he made it through.  Next, maybe I should show him where the on button is (hehe).

281:365 Soup

The cool weather is here and it's time for some warm meals.  I made a big pot of stuffed green pepper soup and a huge pot of chili today.  They are both yummy and will keep us full for the next week or so.  I love having leftovers.

280:365 Puzzle

I spent most of the evening tonight finishing up this puzzle.  It's the second puzzle that I've been able to put together this month.

279:365 Fall Leaf

I came home from Brandy's and headed almost directly to Bismarck today.  I made a stop at the Library for the Friends of the Library sale.  I found a few books to purchase, but tried not to buy too many.  I kept telling myself that I still had to store those books somewhere and I already have a ton of books that I haven't read yet.

278:365 Hard Working Man

Tyler leaves early in the morning and doesn't get home until well past dark.  He comes home from his regular job and always has other work to do.  Macy stayed up late tonight and was very excited to see her daddy and spend some time with him.

277:365 Hard Working Woman

Brandy is working on getting her master's degree and it's been pretty tough this semester.  She had a big project due, and I asked her if it would help if I came to her house for a few days.  She jumped at the offer and I went from Spearfish to Cartwright, without going home.  The kids and I enjoyed our time together and it gave Brandy a chance to work on her project.  This is her after putting in a 12-13 hour day.  You would think that I would have taken a photo of one of the kids, but I forgot to do that before they went to bed.  Sorry Brandy!! =D

276:365 Roughlock Falls

Elaine and I made a quick trip to Roughlock Falls before heading for home this morning.  It was a quick drive from Lodge and well worth the time.

275:365 Belle Fouche River

I had signed up for the Black Hills Photo Shootout way back in July, and in the mean time, my camera started acting up and I had to send it in for repairs, so I did not have it for the shootout.  Lucky for me (and not so lucky for her), Brandy let me use her camera for the workshops.  Well, the camera worked fine for the first morning session, but after shooting only a few photos at the afternoon session, something happened and Brandy's camera would no longer work.  (I swear that I haven't done anything to anger the camera gods.)  I spent the rest of that session and the session on Sunday morning snapping photos with my camera.  Elaine was feeling really sorry for me and told me that I could use her camera for the Sunday afternoon session, Autumn along the Belle Fouche River, even though at this point she knew my history with cameras.  All went well, and I returned her camera to her in good working order.

274:365 Devils Tower

Black Hills Photo Shootout - Devils Tower Workshop - Sat. AM.  This is the first time that I had been to Devils Tower and it was quite impressive.  There were quite a few climbers scaling the mountain.  I'm not sure that I would be able to do that.  As a matter of fact, I know that I would not be able to do that, even though I think that it would be fun to try.

273:365 Elaine at Spearfish Canyon

Elaine and I went to the Black Hills Photo Shootout this weekend for a little photography workshop.  We stayed at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge which is an 11 mile trip down Spearish Canyon Road.  It was an absolutely beautiful drive, especially at this time of year with all of the fall colors at their peak.  This photo is along the road at one of the pull outs.

272:365 Sunset

I spent the afternoon in Bismarck visiting my mom and uncle.  The clouds reminded me of flying geese.
