We had a friendly game of soccer in the back yard today. Abby and I won, since it was two against one. Boy, can she outrun her Grandma though. =D

145:365 Block Party
Julie called to tell us about a block party at a neighborhood park today. We all met at Julie's house then walked to the party. We had a parade of strollers on the way over. The kids jumped in the big air jumping thingys, (I can't think of what they're called right now) and slid down the the big air slides. They had all kinds of activities for the kids (face painting, coloring, etc), but the only thing that Abby wanted to do was get a balloon animal from the clown. It was a very nice way to spend the evening.

144:365 Yunkers Farm
These little munchkins and I spent the morning at Yunker Farms today. Julie and Lilly and Janet were there also. Munchkin #4 wasn't sure about going with us without his daddy, but he ended up having a good time. He absolutely loves going to the park, so when he saw the playground here, he was ready to play!!

139:365 Zoo
The munchkins and I headed for the zoo this afternoon. Boy did they have fun. This is the tiger exhibit. This particular tiger would walk back and forth with the kids and stop at each end to turn around. I think that we were probably here for about 15 minutes walking back and forth and forth and back with the tiger. I ended up buying season passes for us, as I'm sure that we'll be going back again.
138:365 Garden
I had two of the little munchkins with me this week, and one of the projects that we had planned for the week was to plant the garden. We got lucky and had a dry morning so out we went. They were excited to help, but that only lasted for about the first row, then they would come back every once in a while to help dig a hole for the plants that I had bought. We had a good time though and did end up with the entire garden planted. YaY!! Now if only they will keep coming back to help me weed!

137:365 Munchkins
I had to go to Bismarck today for an oil change and I promised the Munchkins that I would take them to the park. Well, we ended up at Seratoma and they have lots of playgrounds to choose from and a nice walking path around there to boot. These two just had the best time playing together and it was a lot of fun for me to watch. This is one of my favorites from our time there. It's not the best quality, but I just love that they are holding hands and I didn't ask them to do that. =D
136:365 Barn
Have I mentioned that I have been busy, busy, busy cleaning?? That means that I haven't even been thinking about taking photos. Today I met Brandy and picked up Munchkins #2 and #3. They will be spending a few days with us. On the way back to Wilton Munchkin #3 got a bloody nose and I had to pull over and help her. This barn is in Dodge, ND and was shot from one of the spots where we had to pull over.

129:365 Rain
I was working on cleaning out the kitchen cupboards when it got really dark inside the house. It was almost like twilight and I had to turn on the lights, even though it was the middle of the day. That was just before this hit. Wind and rain and hail. The hail was only pea size so it didn't do any damage, but look at how much the water is backing up in the street. Our first thunderstorm of the year only a week behind the blizzard. That's ND for you.

128:365 Munchkin #2
Jeffrey has learned to ride his bike and rides all over the yard. He doesn't stop long enough for me to snap very many photos, and if he knows that I have the camera locked on him, he will turn away. We had a great weekend with the kids and look forward to spending a lot more time with them this summer.
127:365 Brandy
It rained for a while in the afternoon, but we went fishing when it quit. I love this photo of Brandy with Jeff fishing in the background. The river was really calm this evening. Dale is the only one with a paddlefish so far this year. I guess that I have to cast more than 10x if I really want to snag that elusive paddlefish. =D

123:365 Tractor
Jeff and I went out to the farm today to start cleaning out the garage. While we were out there, I tried to get some pictures of the machinery that we have for sale, so that I could post them with the ads. Nothing exciting at all, but I was excited to get this good of a shot as it was dark in the quonset except for the light coming in the door behind the tractor.

122:365 Great Grandma Anastacia
I am working on a project to get a photo of each of my grandmothers paintings and create a photo book of them. I stopped by my great aunt and uncles today for a short visit and thought that I would get photos of the paintings that they have. This is a portrait of my great grandma Anastacia Baranyk, which was my grandma's mother. The painting is not signed apparently because my grandmother did not think that it was a good enough likeness of her mother. I think that it's a beautiful portrait.

119:365 Sony & Nolan
Jeff and I had spent the night in Denver, so we stopped to see Sony and the kids before we left town. It was the first time that we got to meet Nolan. It took a few minutes for Beck to warm up to us, but not long. He is quite a character. It was nice to get to see them if only for a short time. One thing that I've realized is that I really need to work on my portrait skills. I took quite a few photos of the three of them, but none of them turned out the way that I wanted. I guess that I'll just have to practice a lot more.
118:365 Arches National Park
117:365 Grand Canyon
116:365 Bottle Brush Bush
We spent the day trying to pack and get the house cleaned so that we could leave in the morning. We went to Taco Tuesday at the golf course then over to Lavonne and Lefty's to play cards with them and also with Gina and Larry. This is one of the plants at their house. It was a nice way to spend our last evening in Mesa.
