115:365 Botanical Garden

Gina and I spent the afternoon at the Botanical Garden in Phoenix. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. It's a beautiful place. If I were here full time, I think that I would buy a membership, as I am sure that it changes with the seasons. There was also a butterfly room, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

114:365 Gina's Grandkids

Hoppy Easter! We had an Easter egg hunt this afternoon with all four of Gina and Larry's grandkiddos. I was nice to the kids so they were nice to me and posed for me. Even little Madisyn. She had told me no at first, but then she decided that she would cooperate. A fun time was had by all.

Gina invited me to go hiking with the hiking club at her church. I can't remember the name of the park where we hiked, but we had a great time. I didn't run in to any slithering critters this time either.

Madisyn was trying to show me a hole in the ground and trying to tell me that it was a snake hole. I just love the expression on her face. She is an absolute doll.

111:365 Flying Lessons

One of Jeff's old high school buddies lives in Phoenix and invited Jeff to fly model airplanes. As it turns out, this is quite an art. We had a great time learning to fly the planes and have decided that maybe this is something that we will pursue. I can put the planes together and Jeff can do the flying. It will be a hobby that we both can enjoy.

110:365 Gina & Larry

Gina, Larry, Jeff and I drove up to Saguaro Lake this evening for nachos. It is one of my favorite places to go in the afternoon. It's really close and such a pretty drive.

109:365 State Capitol Museum

With a few extra hours to spend this afternoon, I went to the Arizona State Capitol and toured the museum. It was about a half hour drive from here. Jeff decided that it would be a good time to take a nap, so I went by myself. I enjoyed being able to take my time while browsing the exhibits.
