I am working on a project to get a photo of each of my grandmothers paintings and create a photo book of them. I stopped by my great aunt and uncles today for a short visit and thought that I would get photos of the paintings that they have. This is a portrait of my great grandma Anastacia Baranyk, which was my grandma's mother. The painting is not signed apparently because my grandmother did not think that it was a good enough likeness of her mother. I think that it's a beautiful portrait.

121:365 Bottle

119:365 Sony & Nolan
Jeff and I had spent the night in Denver, so we stopped to see Sony and the kids before we left town. It was the first time that we got to meet Nolan. It took a few minutes for Beck to warm up to us, but not long. He is quite a character. It was nice to get to see them if only for a short time. One thing that I've realized is that I really need to work on my portrait skills. I took quite a few photos of the three of them, but none of them turned out the way that I wanted. I guess that I'll just have to practice a lot more.

We spent the day trying to pack and get the house cleaned so that we could leave in the morning. We went to Taco Tuesday at the golf course then over to Lavonne and Lefty's to play cards with them and also with Gina and Larry. This is one of the plants at their house. It was a nice way to spend our last evening in Mesa.
